Peek inside this 'Little House on the Prairie'-style log cabin

A tiny home that is very reminiscent of a "Little House on the Prairie" style log cabin can be found in the ghost town of Cora, Wyo. Trulia shares the charming features of this tiny home. The cabin boasts of 332 square feet and sits on 9.13 acres in the middle of the Upper Green River Valley.
The home is rather secluded as Cora's website points out that the entire city contains less than 300 people. Cora was a "thriving metropolis" during the time of trapping, logging and homesteading; but the population peaked out between 400 and 500 people in the nineteenth century and began to decline during WWII. Most of the remaining citizens are related to the original settlers of the area.

A gorgeous view of the Tetons is available from the cabin, and split rail fencing has already been built to either contain animals or help hold snow.
A porch wraps around the front and side of the home, perfect for relaxing on in the evening.
To continue the rustic feel, the logs can be seen on the inside of the cabin. Vaulted ceilings help keep the space from feeling so tiny, and a woodburning stove keeps house heated.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a stainless steel sink, mini refrigerator and gas stove. The window over the sink allows you to view the outside while washing dishes.
For enjoying the great view while eating, a picture window sits in the main eating space. Tile is in the "great room," while hardwood flooring runs throughout the rest of the home.
The bedroom has wood paneling and enough space for a bed. To ensure comfort while sleeping, a propane heater is installed in the bedroom.
A flush toilet is in the bathroom, and built-in shelves give handy storage space for towels and toiletries. A granite countertop and shower complete the bathroom.

Although the house may be tiny, it was built in 2007 with the needs of the people of today in mind. Since it is so far away from major cities, the builders installed solar power, a generator and a well. For those who want to live "green" and comfortable while enjoying the beauty nature has to offer, this tiny home promises to fulfill all those desires.
