Many
of us dream of having a cabin we can retreat to as a reprieve from the grind of
everyday life. Why retreat at all however when this Park Model Mountain by Rolling Cabins goes wherever you do?
The
exterior design just oozes cabin. From the log siding to the porch overhang
tree posts this is truly a homemade for nature. A green metal roof and an
octagon shaped window are simple, yet provocative design additions.

The
wood theme flows to the interior of the Park Model Mountain cabin as well.
Light pine walls create reflective natural light in a surprisingly open
kitchen.
This
design opted for an over-the-sink window which may have compromised some
overhead cabinet space. Under-sink cabinets help alleviate some of the storage
issues however.
The
overhead loft takes away some of the openness of the kitchen but sometimes
decisions have to be made when designing a tiny home that is to sit on a
trailer. Is a cramped loft a better accord?
Some
wall décor might be recommended to break up the monotony of the pine. Also, any
doubts that this is truly a cabin are lifted when you come across the portable
composting toilet.
The
saltbox roof style does allow for a very praiseworthy loft area. One side has
more height for moving around and navigating while the other slopes into what
becomes a uniquely positioned skylight that is perfect for bird watching and
star gawking.
