Tour 'Pearl,' the 881-square-foot treasure with a dreamy loft bedroom

If you have a narrow lot of land but don't want to sacrifice style for space, the Pearl from Meadowlark Log Homes is the solution you're been searching for. Thanks to its clever layout, the 881-square-foot cabin (with a 600-square-foot ground floor and a 281-sqaure-foot loft) feels surprisingly spacious inside.
On their website, Meadowlark suggests using Pearl as a home as a place of business. The model featured below contains elements of both, just to give you a better idea of how adaptable this small but mighty cabin is.

Before we venture inside, we'd like to point out the exquisite butt-and-pass corners. Such a lovely rustic touch!
The main room functions equally well as a living room for a home or as a waiting area for an office. The windows let in plenty of light and the sky-high ceiling gives it an airy quality.
There's enough space for a dining table or desks, depending on how you choose to use the space.
The cheerful kitchen is fully equipped for your culinary needs, and we adore the exposed beams in the ceiling for that extra homey touch.
Don't be fooled by the size of the stove in the corner — the little heater is more than capable of keeping the entire cabin toasty.
While the area under the stairs has been set up as a workspace, it can just as easily be transformed into a den or lounge.
We can't imagine having anything but sweet dreams in this cozy loft. From the high ceiling to the warm wood, this bedroom is the epitome of rustic comfort.
