Explore a gorgeous log home home — one look at the bathroom and you'll be begging to move in

Despite its unorthodox color palette, the blue-and-white Black Bear log home from Town + Country Cedar Homes manages to foster a feeling of harmony with its surroundings. As you tour this whimsical home, you'll notice little details in the design — such as pillars seeming to grow directly from the ground — that play with your perception of how this timber masterpiece came to be.
The Black Bear is a sprawling 3,134 square feet, making it ideal for a large family. The current setup includes three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a studio though the last room can be converted into whatever sort of space you and your family may need. Taking a peek at the facade, the most striking aspect of it is the decorative pillars resembling trees that appear to cradle the home as they branch upward and around the front door.

The rear view of the home, however, more closely resembles a traditional log home — minus the color, of course.
In the great room, you can catch a glimpse of how the landscape is incorporated into the decor. The limbs extending upward draw attention to the high ceilings while the coffee table fashioned from a stump keeps the room grounded.
Even the mantel on the stone fireplace is made to look like an artfully unfinished log.

The state-of-the-art kitchen is sleek, but not overly so. It still contains elements of its surroundings (such as the vertical wood panels in the back and the adorable black bear perched on the island) while being modern enough for any home chef to navigate with ease.
This dining room is brilliant for entertaining!
Once again playing with the boundaries of inside and out, this screened-in porch allows you to enjoy the outdoors — no matter the season.
If you're concerned about literally bringing the outside into your home in the form of dirt being tracked in, this mudroom is the perfect place to stash your soiled clothes and shoes.
The sunny bedroom is exactly the sort of place we'd like to start the day.
This surprisingly zen bathroom allows you to have your own private spa.
The studio fosters creativity with its near-panoramic views, but it can also be transformed into an additional bedroom or home office.
