Check out this 628-square-foot cabin with its unbeatable rustic kitchen

We're strong proponents of making the most of what you've got, and this cabin from Real Log Homes proves that small structures can be just as sturdy as their palatial counterparts. Known as Mt. Lassen, this charming retreat in Chester, Calif. contains unexpected luxuries within its compact frame. Talk about downsizing in style!
Though the cabin only measures 628 square feet, it's filled to the brim with personality. We love the butt-and-pass-style corners and decorative gable, plus the artfully arranged windows that let in plenty of light. Once you step inside, however, the view becomes even better.

The mini fireplace adds warmth without being overwhelming, making the living room the perfect place to cozy up. Note that the dining table has panels that fold up, should you need more room to accomodate geusts.
This kitchen caught me off guard initially. According to Real Log Style, those are granite countertops and a double oven you're seeing. Despite those upgrades, however, the wooden cabinets keeps the room grounded.
The bedroom, too, goes back to the cabin's rustic roots. So inviting!
Even the bathroom plays up its rusticness — from the stunning grain on the wooden drawers to the decorative windowpane and mirror frame.
