Check out the Appleton: More log than cabin, but it's hard to complain

There's an innate charm to a home built with logs. It's a quality that's hard to put a finger on — intangible, even. But they're attractive enough that log houses have been a mainstay of home architecture since they were first brought into the world. While log houses have a rich, long-lived history, the one below is a drastic departure from old-world roots.
The appeal of Eloghomes' Appleton comes from an artful pairing of modern design and country-inspired pieces. The Appleton boasts a gable roof that's politely interrupted by off-shoots housing various rooms of the home. The result is nothing short of enviable. Let's start with the living room.

When looking at the first shot of this home, it's hard to see past the log beams darting across the ceiling. They add a rustic touch to an otherwise standard set of interior items. It's the next view of the living room that really showcases the space, though.
From this perspective, the high ceilings and the expansive windows really start to shine. It's all brought together by a wrought iron chandelier, characterized by subtle depictions of a forest framing the light itself.
It would be hard to argue that the kitchen isn't the centerpiece of this expansive log home. The ventilation hood appears to be made of brass, which pleasantly complements the warm tones of the cabinets and ceiling beams.
Waiting under it is an island fit for a queen and her family. The island houses a stovetop, so serving Sunday morning pancakes to the kids won't require a trip across the kitchen.
The blueprints of the interior only serve to emphasize the grandiose nature of this log home. Coming in through the porch, you'd be greeted by the kitchen, great room (which we've been calling the living room), and the dining area.
From there, you can take the first spiral staircase to the upstairs, or continue forward toward three bedrooms and a library. A second spiral staircase leads from the library upstairs to the master bedroom and loft, which overlooks the floor below.
